How to Write the College Essay

Dropping just in time for well-intentioned Thanksgiving questions about your favorite high school senior’s progress on their college applications, this episode is about the college essay. A departure from my usual format, it’s basically the audio of one segment from a new series for high school English teachers that I’m putting together with Greg Jackson. It’s 22 minutes about how to approach the college essay—for writers and their teachers. (Image: still from rough cut of Point of Learning Master Class, courtesy Action J Productions.) Please share it with the family or teacher of a college-bound senior near you!

Point of Learning Master Class shoot in Westfield, NJ, 27 October 2022. Courtesy Action J Productions.
